Is Bairn safe and private for my child?
Yes. Bairn is built kid-first and is COPPA compliant: we never ask for photos, and we store only a first name and age group — no other personal data about your child. Parents hold the only accounts and have full control over content, with the ability to review every story your child creates.
Does Bairn keep my child's voice recordings?
No. When your child speaks to steer a story, the audio is transcribed in the moment and the voice recording is deleted immediately — it is never stored or used to train models. Only the resulting story text remains, under your account.
How does Bairn keep story content age-appropriate?
Every story passes through multiple AI safety filters before it reaches your child, and stories adapt to your child's age group. Parents can review any story at any time, so nothing reaches bedtime without you being able to check it.

Yes. Stories are narrated by one of 4 professional storyteller voices, so you can pick the narrator that best suits your child and the mood of the night.
What illustration styles are available?
Every story is illustrated in your choice of 5 art styles — Bairn (our signature look), Watercolor, Pencil, Stippling, and Impressionist — so the same adventure can feel painterly, playful, or cinematic.
Do stories adapt as my child grows?
Yes. You can set profiles across five age groups from Toddler to Tween, and stories automatically adapt in vocabulary, themes, and complexity to fit children ages 2 to 12.
